About SmartEnergyPH
We help Filipino households understand what their electricity costs, where it goes, and whether options like solar or backup power make sense — with the maths and the sources out in the open.
What we do
Electricity is one of the biggest monthly bills for many Philippine households, and decisions such as buying an aircon, adding backup power or installing solar involve real money. Good information is scattered across utility pages, regulations, spec sheets and sales pitches. SmartEnergyPH brings it together in two ways:
- Calculators that run in your browser, use pesos, and let you change every assumption.
- Guides that answer one question properly, show the formulas, and link to the official sources behind them.
What we don’t do
- We are not a distribution utility, a government agency or a solar installer, and we don’t sell equipment.
- We don’t lab-test products or publish hands-on reviews, and we won’t pretend to.
- We don’t publish customer testimonials, ratings or “partner” badges we haven’t earned.
- We don’t give personalised financial, legal or engineering advice. For decisions about your home’s wiring or roof, talk to a licensed professional.
Who writes our content
SmartEnergyPH Editorial
Research and editorial
Articles credited to SmartEnergyPH Editorial are researched and drafted with the help of AI writing tools, checked against the official sources listed in each article, and edited by the site owner. We do not lab-test products. See our editorial policy for how we work.
Our editorial policy explains how we research, how we use AI tools, how we separate verified facts from estimates, and how we correct mistakes.
How we make money
SmartEnergyPH is free to use. To keep it running we plan to earn money in ways that don’t change what we tell you — for example clearly labelled affiliate links, solar installer referrals and non-intrusive advertising. Our affiliate disclosure lists what is active today.
