How do you want to answer?
What do you want to keep running during a brownout?

Tick everything you’d want on at the same time. The watts and hours are examples only — change them to match your appliances’ labels and how long your brownouts usually last.

The compressor only runs part of the time; 8 of 24 hours is a rough rule of thumb. Use your label or a meter if you can.
Use the rated power input on your unit’s label.

Best match

EcoFlow DELTA 3 1000 Air

960 Wh · 500 W continuous · runs your load for about 6 h 26 min

Matches use each model’s published capacity, continuous output and surge rating, an 85% allowance for usable capacity and inverter losses, and a start-up surge of about 3× the largest motor appliance. They are estimates — check the model’s specs and your appliances’ labels before buying. This quiz covers EcoFlow models only; other brands may also suit you. Specs checked 2026-10-27 from EcoFlow’s official pages.

    How the quiz chooses

For your answers, the quiz works out three numbers and checks each EcoFlow model against them:

Energy needed (Wh) = Σ watts × hours × quantity
Capacity to look for = energy needed ÷ 0.85
Load at one time (W) = Σ watts × quantity
Start-up surge (W) = load at one time + 2 × the largest motor appliance
    • Continuous output must be at least your load at one time, or the unit will shut off.
    • Surge rating must cover the brief start-up spike of fridges, freezers and pumps (estimated at about 3× their running watts).
    • Capacity decides how long it lasts. If only a version with an extra battery is big enough, we say so.

The smallest model that passes all three checks is shown as the best match — bigger isn’t always better if you’ll carry it around or don’t need the capacity.

    Getting good answers

    • Watts: check the label or manual. The example values are only starting points.
    • Hours: think about your typical brownout length — or a full night if you want overnight backup.
    • Fridges: the compressor cycles, so it doesn’t run all 24 hours. Your energy label’s kWh per month ÷ 30 gives a better daily figure.
    • Aircons use far more than everything else; try the quiz with and without it.

    Frequently asked questions

Which EcoFlow is best for brownouts in the Philippines?
It depends on what you need to run and for how long. A fan, router, lights and phones need far less than a fridge or an aircon. Tick your appliances above — the quiz matches models by continuous output, surge rating and capacity.
Can an EcoFlow power station run an aircon?
Only the higher-output models can start and run an aircon, and even large batteries run one for a limited time. Check the aircon’s rated power input, tick it in the quiz, and compare the estimated runtime. For long daily aircon use, a hybrid solar system is usually a better fit.
Why does the quiz recommend more capacity than my appliances use?
Not all of a battery’s rated capacity reaches your appliances: some is reserved and some is lost converting DC battery power to AC. The quiz allows for this with an 85% factor, similar to the factor EcoFlow and other makers use in their own runtime estimates.
Do you recommend EcoFlow over other brands?
This quiz only covers EcoFlow models because it is built on EcoFlow’s published specifications. Other brands may suit you too — our power station runtime calculator works with any brand.

Estimates only. Results depend entirely on the values you enter and the simplified formulas shown above. They are not a quote, a bill forecast or financial advice. Real consumption, tariffs and solar output vary. Read our calculation methodology and confirm important figures with your utility or a qualified professional.
