Estimated brownout runtimes
Runtime ≈ 858 Wh × 0.85 ÷ load (W). The 0.85 factor allows for usable capacity and AC conversion losses, in line with the factor EcoFlow and other makers use. Real runtime varies.
| Scenario (example wattages) | Load | Estimated runtime |
|---|---|---|
| Essentials: fan, Wi-Fi router, three LED bulbs | 97 W | 7 h 31 min |
| Essentials + phone charging + laptop | 187 W | 3 h 54 min |
| Essentials + refrigerator (compressor ~⅓ of the time) | 130 W | 5 h 36 min |
What it can run on its own
Each appliance by itself, using example wattages. Motor appliances are checked against the surge rating at about 3× their running watts.
| Appliance | Example load | Can it run it? | Runtime alone |
|---|---|---|---|
| Electric fan | 60 W | Yes | 12 h 9 min |
| LED bulb × 3 | 27 W | Yes | 27 h 1 min |
| Wi-Fi router | 10 W | Yes | 3 days |
| Phone charging × 2 | 30 W | Yes | 24 h 19 min |
| Laptop | 60 W | Yes | 12 h 9 min |
| LED TV | 80 W | Yes | 9 h 7 min |
| Refrigerator | 100 W | Yes | 7 h 18 min |
| Chest freezer | 100 W | Yes | 7 h 18 min |
| Desktop computer + monitor | 150 W | Yes | 4 h 52 min |
| Rice cooker (cooking) | 700 W | No — output too low | — |
| Water pump | 370 W | Yes | 1 h 58 min |
| Aircon (inverter, small room) | 900 W | No — output too low | — |
Fridges, freezers and aircons cycle on and off, so they usually last longer than the “runtime alone” figure suggests.
Recharging with solar
It accepts up to 220 W of solar input (11-55V, 13A). With about 4.7 peak sun hours a day (the Philippine average) and allowing about 20% for losses, a full recharge from empty takes roughly:
- 1.1 sunny days with a 200 W panel
- 1 sunny days with 220 W of panels (its maximum input)
Estimate: capacity ÷ (panel watts ÷ 1.2 × peak sun hours). Cloudy weather, shading and panel angle reduce charging.

Notes: The www.ecoflow.com/ph RIVER 3 series page (specSourceUrl) confirms 858Wh, '<10 ms UPS' and '600W output, 1200W X-Boost'. Its PH store link (ph.ecoflow.com/products/river-3-max-plus-portable-power-station) was stuck in a redirect loop, and the PH store sells the RIVER 3 Plus and the 600EB extra battery separately. The remaining specs come from the AU store (https://au.ecoflow.com/products/ecoflow-river-3-max-plus-portable-power-station) 'RIVER 3 Max Plus Specs' table (858Wh, 234x232x286 mm, 10.8 kg, <10 ms UPS, 3 AC outlets, 600W / 1200W surge / 1200W X-Boost). The AU table stops after the USB-A row. USB-C (100W) and solar (11-55V 13A, 220W) are from the RIVER 3 Plus manual, since those ports are on the RIVER 3 Plus unit. The EcoFlow PH Lazada listing also says 220W solar. The AU table is truncated before the AC input row. The '1 hr charge' claim (www.ecoflow.com/ph) and the Lazada title's '0-100% Quick Charge in 60 Minutes' have no wattage behind them, so treat them with caution. The same Lazada listing wrongly says '576Wh base capacity'. No PH store price; the EcoFlow PH Lazada listing (https://www.lazada.com.ph/products/i4908278575.html) showed PHP 39,990.
