Best Solar Panels for the EcoFlow DELTA Pro Ultra: From 12 Foldables to a 4kW Rigid Array

Solar panels for the EcoFlow DELTA Pro Ultra: verified strings for its High-PV (80-450V) and Low-PV (30-150V) inputs, using 160W, 220W and 400W rigid panels.

Checked against the sources listed below. How we research.

Key takeaways

  • The DELTA Pro Ultra has a High-PV input (80-450V, 15A, 4000W) and a Low-PV input (30-150V, 15A, 1600W). You can use either or both.
  • Largest verified string: 10 x 400W rigid panels in series on High-PV (371V open-circuit, 4,000W), which is 5 packs of the 2-panel listing.
  • Foldable option: 7 x 220W NextGen in series on High-PV (1,540W) plus 5 x 220W in series on Low-PV (1,100W).
  • High-PV needs at least 5 x 160W/220W panels or 3 x 400W rigid in series to reach its 80V minimum.
  • We only checked MC4-lead panels. The 45W, 125W Bifacial and 400W Lightweight have no verified way to connect to this unit.

  7. Bottom line

For the EcoFlow DELTA Pro Ultra, the biggest verified setup is 10 x EcoFlow 400W rigid panels in series on the High-PV input (4,000W, the port’s maximum). For a portable setup, use 7 x 220W NextGen in series on High-PV plus 5 x 220W in series on Low-PV (2,640W rated). High-PV takes 80-450V, 15A, 4000W; Low-PV takes 30-150V, 15A, 1600W.

For a step-by-step on building the strings, see our DELTA Pro Ultra series-string setup guide.

Verified setups

Setup High-PV Low-PV Rated W What to buy
Rigid, High-PV only 10 x 400W rigid in series (371V Voc) not used 4,000W 5 packs of 400W Rigid
Rigid, both inputs 9 x 400W rigid in series (3,600W) 3 x 400W rigid in series (1,200W) 4,800W 6 packs
Foldable 7 x 220W in series (150.5V Voc, 1,540W) 5 x 220W in series (107.5V Voc, 1,100W) 2,640W 12 x 220W NextGen
Smaller foldable 5 x 160W in series (800W) 2 x 160W in series (320W) 1,120W 7 x 160W NextGen

EcoFlow doesn’t publish a combined maximum for both inputs, so treat the “both inputs” totals as rated panel watts, not a promised charge rate.

The rigid listing is a pack of two 400W panels, so 10 panels is 5 packs and 12 panels is 6 packs.

Cold-weather note from the manual: EcoFlow advises against 6, 8 or 10 of the 220W or 400W panels in series at low temperatures (below 0°C). That’s rarely a concern in the Philippines, but if you’re setting up somewhere cold, such as high in the mountains, pick 7 or 9 instead.

Which panels we didn’t include

We only checked panels with MC4 leads, because those plug straight into the High-PV input and into the Low-PV cable that comes with the DELTA Pro Ultra. The 45W (DC5521 output), 125W Bifacial and 400W Lightweight (XT60 leads) have no officially verified connection path to this unit, so we don’t recommend them here. The 60W panel’s official specs conflict, so we’ve left it out too.

Example: solar charge time

The DELTA Pro Ultra kit on sale is the inverter plus one 6,144Wh battery.

  • Example assumption: panels deliver about 70% of their rating in real Philippine sun.
  • 10 x 400W rigid: 4,000W x 0.7 ≈ 2,800W. 6,144Wh ÷ 2,800W ≈ 2.2 hours of strong sun.
  • 12 x 220W foldable: 2,640W x 0.7 ≈ 1,848W. 6,144Wh ÷ 1,848W ≈ 3.3 hours.

With an example 4.5 peak sun hours a day, either can refill one battery in a sunny day. If you add batteries (EcoFlow says up to 5 x 6,144Wh, about 30kWh), the rigid array becomes far more useful. These are estimates only.

Cables and connection

  • High-PV: the panels’ MC4 leads plug directly into the High-PV input. You don’t use the MC4-to-XT60i cable that comes with the 220W and 160W panels.
  • Low-PV: use the Solar to Low-PV Port Charging Cable included with the DELTA Pro Ultra. Its MC4 end connects to your string.
  • Series joins: male MC4 into female MC4, panel to panel. Use EcoFlow Solar Extension Cables if leads are too short.

Safety

A 10-panel rigid string is about 371V DC open-circuit. That’s dangerous voltage. Fixed rigid arrays, roof mounts and any connection to your home’s electrical panel need a licensed electrician and an LGU electrical permit. Foldable panels laid out on the ground are plug-and-play and you can set them up by following the manuals, but keep connectors dry and never handle them in the rain.

What to buy

Check today’s prices. Compare specs on our DELTA Pro Ultra buyer’s guide and see how long it runs your appliances with the EcoFlow runtime calculator.

Bottom line

The DELTA Pro Ultra is built for long series strings. Ten 400W rigid panels fill its High-PV input, installed by a licensed electrician. For a no-roof setup, twelve 220W foldables split 7 and 5 across both inputs.

Frequently asked questions

How many solar panels can I connect to the EcoFlow DELTA Pro Ultra?
On High-PV, 5 to 12 x 160W or 220W NextGen panels in series, or 3 to 10 x 400W rigid panels in series. On Low-PV, 2 to 6 x 160W or 220W in series, or 1 to 3 x 400W rigid in series. You can use both inputs at once.
What is the DELTA Pro Ultra's total solar input?
The manual gives 4000W for High-PV and 1600W for Low-PV, and says you can use either or both. EcoFlow doesn't state a combined maximum, so we don't add the two together.
Can I use the EcoFlow 400W Lightweight or 125W Bifacial panel with the DELTA Pro Ultra?
We couldn't verify a connection. Those panels have XT60 leads, and no official EcoFlow source we found confirms an adapter path to the DELTA Pro Ultra's ports. Ask EcoFlow PH before buying them for this unit.
Should I wire panels in parallel on the DELTA Pro Ultra?
EcoFlow's manual doesn't recommend it because both inputs are limited to 15A. If you must, total panel current must stay under 15A.
