LG LA080ENT Power Consumption: Watts, CSPF and Monthly Cost
LG LA080ENT 0.8HP top-discharge window inverter: 800 W, CSPF 4.7, 3 stars on a newer DOE label, 2.64 kW cooling. Monthly cost and why 3 stars isn't what it seems.
Checked against the sources listed below. How we research.
Key takeaways
- The LG LA080ENT is a 0.8HP inverter window aircon. Its DOE label shows 800 W input, CSPF 4.7, 3 stars and 2.64 kW (9,493 kJ/h) of cooling.
- Its cooling capacity is higher than some 1HP window units: TCL's 1HP UB2 and UJE2 are rated 2.6 kW, and Samsung's 1HP compact window 2.5 kW.
- The 3 stars come from a newer label with stricter star bands. Compare its CSPF, not its stars, with older-label units.
- At full rated power, 8 hours a night for 30 days is 192 kWh, about ₱2,304 at an example ₱12/kWh. Inverter units often average less.

The LG LA080ENT is a 0.8HP inverter window aircon with a DOE-label power input of 800 W, a CSPF of 4.7 and 3 stars. It cools 2.64 kW, more than some 1HP window units. The 3 stars come from a newer label with stricter bands, so don’t read them as “inefficient”. It is sold by the LG store on Lazada.

Capacity, watts, CSPF, stars and monthly kWh are from the DOE label reproduced by SM Appliance. “Top discharge” and the room size come from SM’s product page. We found no LG Philippines page for this model.
A 0.8HP with 1HP-class cooling
Horsepower labels on aircons are loose. The LG LA080ENT is sold as 0.8HP, yet its label cooling capacity (2.64 kW) is higher than TCL’s 1HP TAC-09CWI/UJE2 and UB2 (both 2.6 kW) and Samsung’s 1HP AW40F09D0ATNTC (2.5 kW). When you shop, compare the kW or kJ/h on the label, not just the HP in the title.
The catch is power. To deliver that capacity, the LG is rated at 800 W, more than the TCL UJE2’s 733 W for slightly less cooling. The UJE2 also has the higher CSPF (4.88). So, if your room needs about 2.6 kW, a 1HP inverter may do the same job on fewer watts.
Why 3 stars and 57 kWh?
Both figures reflect the newer label rules. Star bands on newer labels differ from older ones, and CSPF 4.7 earns 3 stars on them. The monthly figure is also calculated differently: under the older formula, 800 W × 9 h × 30 days × 0.5 would be 108 kWh, but this label prints 57 kWh. Neither number can be compared with older labels. Compare CSPF and rated watts instead. Our guide on how to read the Philippine aircon energy label walks through each part of the label.
What it costs to run each month
monthly kWh = watts × hours per day × days ÷ 1,000
For 8 hours a night, 30 nights:
- At full rated power: 800 × 8 × 30 ÷ 1,000 = 192 kWh, about ₱2,304 at an example rate of ₱12 per kWh (use your own bill’s rate).
- At half the rated input on average (an example assumption; inverters often run below rated power once the room is cool, but it varies): 96 kWh, about ₱1,152.
Each hour at full rated power is 0.8 kWh, about ₱9.60 at the example rate. Use the aircon electricity cost calculator and your electric company’s rate from the electricity rates page.
How it compares with similar small window aircons
| Model | HP | Rated input | CSPF | Cooling | Stars |
|---|---|---|---|---|---|
| LG LA080ENT | 0.8 | 800 W | 4.7 | 2.64 kW | 3 (newer label) |
| Kolin KAG-75WCINV | 0.75 | 725 W | 4.45 | 2.47 kW | 5 (older label) |
| iFFALCON IFAC-07CWI/UL | 0.7 | 620 W | 5.05 | 2.05 kW | 5 (older label) |
| TCL TAC-09CWI/UJE2 | 1 | 733 W | 4.88 | 2.6 kW | 5 (older label) |
Against the Kolin KAG-75WCINV, the LG has more cooling and a higher CSPF, despite having fewer stars. The iFFALCON IFAC-07CWI/UL has a higher CSPF but much less capacity, so it suits a smaller room. The TCL UJE2 1HP is the strongest rival on paper: similar cooling, fewer watts, higher CSPF.
Who the LA080ENT suits
- Buyers who want LG and a top-discharge window design (per SM Appliance).
- Rooms that need about 2.6 kW of cooling but where you would rather not buy a “1HP” unit. Treat SM’s 10 m² figure with caution given this capacity.
- Lazada shoppers: the LG store link is the only one in our data.
Have it installed by a licensed technician or LG’s authorised installer. For the trade-offs between compressor types, read inverter vs non-inverter aircons.

Bottom line
The LG LA080ENT is an 800 W, CSPF 4.7 inverter window unit with 1HP-class cooling (2.64 kW) in a 0.8HP model. Its 3 stars reflect the newer label scale. On the numbers, TCL’s 1HP UJE2 does a similar job on fewer watts, so compare prices before you choose.
