Key takeaways

  • The BLUETTI Elite 30 V2 is a 288Wh LiFePO4 power station with 600W of 220V AC output. Its solar input is XT60, 12–28V, 10A max, 200W max.
  • BLUETTI sells the Elite 30 V2 with its own Sora 60 (60W) panel as an official kit. One Sora 60 is a manufacturer-approved pairing; it connects with a DC5521-to-XT60 cable.
  • No solar charging cable comes with the Elite 30 V2. Make sure your panel comes with, or you buy, a cable that ends in XT60.
  • The BLUETTI PV200 and Sora 220 have Voc under 28V, but their short-circuit currents (10.3A and 11A) are over the Elite 30 V2's 10A input limit.
  • Never connect a BLUETTI PV350S. Its Voc is 44–47V depending on the source, far above the Elite 30 V2's 28V maximum.

The simplest safe solar kit for the BLUETTI Elite 30 V2 is one BLUETTI Sora 60 (60W) panel connected with a DC5521-to-XT60 cable, which is how BLUETTI itself sells the pair as an official kit. The Elite 30 V2’s solar input accepts 12–28V, 10A max, 200W max through an XT60 port, and no solar cable comes in its box. The larger BLUETTI PV200 and Sora 220 panels exceed its 10A current limit, and the BLUETTI PV350S (about 44–47V open-circuit) must never be connected, because the manual’s maximum is 28V.

This guide covers what the Elite 30 V2 is good for, how to set up the Sora 60, which other panels fit the input, and exactly why the bigger BLUETTI panels don’t.

The BLUETTI Elite 30 V2 in brief

All figures below come from BLUETTI Philippines’ product page and the Elite 30 V2 user manual for the Philippine model (EL30V2-PH-GY-SPFPH-00).

Spec BLUETTI Elite 30 V2
Battery capacity 288Wh
Battery chemistry LiFePO4
Cycle life 3,000+ cycles to 80% of original capacity
AC output 600W total, 220V, 50Hz/60Hz, pure sine wave
“Power Lifting” 1500W, only for pure resistive loads rated 600–1500W (per the manual)
Solar input XT60, 12–28V, 10A max, 200W max
AC charging 200W standard, 380W max (Turbo); 230V 50/60Hz input
UPS switchover ≤10ms
Weight 4.3kg
Size 250 × 178 × 167.5mm
Solar cable in the box No

A few practical notes for Filipino buyers:

  • 60Hz support. The Philippine grid runs at 60Hz, and BLUETTI lists the AC output as 50Hz/60Hz.
  • “Power Lifting” is not a surge rating. The manual limits it to pure resistive loads rated 600W to 1500W. BLUETTI doesn’t publish a separate surge figure, so don’t count on it starting a motor or compressor above 600W.
  • UPS mode. With a switchover of 10ms or less, it can keep a Wi-Fi router or a desktop PC running through a brownout, if the load is within 600W.

At 288Wh, it’s a small station. It suits phones, laptops, a router, LED lights and an electric fan. It won’t run an aircon or a full-size refrigerator for long. Use our power station runtime calculator with the 288Wh figure to estimate runtimes for your own appliances, and see how to calculate power station runtime for the method.

The BLUETTI Sora 60 panel

BLUETTI’s Sora 60 (sold earlier as the PV60F; the Lazada listing’s model field says “PV60F” and its highlights say “PV60L”) is a small folding panel. These figures are from BLUETTI’s own pages:

Spec BLUETTI Sora 60
Rated power 60W
Open-circuit voltage (Voc) 27.5V
Short-circuit current (Isc) 2.76A (BLUETTI global page; the PH page says 2.58A)
Efficiency Up to 24.7%
Output plug DC5521
Cable in the box (per BLUETTI) DC5521 to XT60, 1.2m
Extra outputs USB-A and USB-C (charge a phone straight from the panel)
Weight 1.4kg
Unfolded size 900 × 424mm
Folded size 226 × 210 × 70mm
Rating IP65

Why the Sora 60 is the pairing we recommend

Our usual rule is to keep a panel’s Voc at least 10% below a device’s maximum input voltage. For the Elite 30 V2, 90% of 28V is 25.2V. The Sora 60’s Voc of 27.5V is above that margin line, but it is inside BLUETTI’s own 28V limit. More importantly, BLUETTI sells this exact panel with the Elite 30 V2 as an official kit, with the DC5521-to-XT60 cable, so a single Sora 60 is a manufacturer-approved pairing. Its current (2.76A) is far below the 10A limit.

So: one Sora 60, yes. We don’t cover connecting two Sora 60s together, because that isn’t part of BLUETTI’s kit and isn’t in our verified data.

Check the cable variant before you order

This is the part most likely to trip you up. BLUETTI says the Sora 60 box includes a DC5521-to-XT60 cable. But the Lazada listing has a variant called “PV60 5521 TO 7909”. A DC7909 plug fits other BLUETTI power stations, not the Elite 30 V2’s XT60 port.

When ordering the BLUETTI 60W panel on Lazada:

  1. Choose the variant that includes an XT60 cable if one is offered.
  2. If you’re unsure, message the seller and ask: “Does this variant include a DC5521-to-XT60 cable for the Elite 30 V2?”
  3. Get the answer in writing in the chat before paying.

Setting up the kit, step by step

This is a plug-and-play setup. You can do it yourself by following the BLUETTI manuals; no house wiring is involved.

  1. Charge the Elite 30 V2 fully from the wall first. This confirms everything works before you rely on solar.
  2. Unfold the Sora 60 in full sun. Any shade on part of the panel (a branch, a railing, a clothesline) cuts output a lot.
  3. Face it toward the sun and tilt it. Use the panel’s kickstand if it has one, or prop it at an angle. Adjust it a couple of times a day if you can.
  4. Plug the DC5521 end into the panel and the XT60 end into the Elite 30 V2’s solar input.
  5. Check the display. The station should show solar input watts. Expect less than 60W most of the time. Panels rarely reach their label rating outside lab conditions, especially when hot.
  6. Keep the power station in the shade. Only the panel needs sun. Put the Elite 30 V2 under a roof or in a well-ventilated shaded spot, with the cable running out to the panel.
  7. Bring the panel in before rain. BLUETTI rates it IP65, but treat it as a fair-weather panel and don’t leave it out during a downpour or a storm.

How long will it take to charge? (estimate)

BLUETTI doesn’t publish a Sora 60 to Elite 30 V2 charge time, so here is simple maths you can adjust:

  • Example assumption: 4–5 peak sun hours on a clear day. This is an assumption for the example, not a measurement for your location.
  • 60W × 4 hours = 240Wh; 60W × 5 hours = 300Wh. That’s the panel’s best case before any losses.
  • The battery is 288Wh. Real-world output is lower than the label (heat, angle, haze, conversion losses), so on a good day you might recover most of a full charge, not a guaranteed 100%.
  • On cloudy or rainy-season days, expect much less.

If you need faster solar charging, look at a larger panel that stays within both limits (see the next section).

Other panels that fit the XT60 input

These rows come from our compatibility check against BLUETTI’s published limits (12–28V, 10A, 200W). All of them stay below the 25.2V safety margin and below 10A. They all have MC4 connectors (or an unstated connector), so you’d need an MC4-to-XT60 adapter cable, which is not included with the Elite 30 V2.

Panel Voc Isc How many Source of panel figures
PowMr 100W flexible 21.6V 6.11A 1 PowMr (manufacturer)
PowMr 150W flexible 21.6V 9.16A 1 PowMr (manufacturer)
Bosca 60W 22.32V 3.57A Up to 2 in parallel (7.14A total) Listing only
Bosca 120W 22.32V 7.13A 1 Listing only
Bosca 160W 22.32V 9.51A 1 Listing only

Notes on these:

  • Never wire two panels in series on the Elite 30 V2. Any two of these panels in series would be over 28V.
  • The PowMr 150W flexible is the largest panel in the table with manufacturer-verified figures. Its 9.16A Isc is under the 10A limit, but not by much.
  • Bosca figures are from the seller’s listing only. Bosca publishes no official datasheet, and its connector isn’t stated, so it may come with a bare junction box. Read the label on the panel before connecting.
  • Adapter cable. We link an MC4 to XT60i solar adapter cable on Shopee from a third-party seller. The listing doesn’t publish specs. Before buying, confirm with the seller that it fits a standard XT60 input like the Elite 30 V2’s, and check that the polarity (positive and negative) matches before you plug in.

For more on choosing between these panel types, see our flexible vs rigid solar panels guide.

The BLUETTI PV200 / Sora 220 listing sells two different folding panels as variants of one product. Both are good panels for larger BLUETTI stations, but not for the Elite 30 V2.

PV200 Sora 220 Elite 30 V2 limit
Rated power 200W 220W 200W max
Voc 26.1V 25.9V 28V max
Isc 10.3A 11A 10A max
Connector MC4 MC4 XT60

The voltage is fine: both are under BLUETTI’s 28V limit, though both are above our 25.2V safety margin. The problem is current. The Elite 30 V2 manual states a maximum input current of 10A. The PV200’s short-circuit current is 10.3A and the Sora 220’s is 11A. Both are over the limit. The Sora 220 is also rated above the 200W maximum input.

Because they go beyond a published manufacturer limit, our compatibility data marks both as not within the manufacturer limit for this station. Some people do connect slightly oversized panels to small stations, but we only recommend pairings that stay within every published limit. If you already own a PV200 or Sora 220, ask BLUETTI Philippines in writing whether it’s approved for the Elite 30 V2 before connecting it.

The Lazada listing’s FAQ gives a different Voc for the PV200 (24.6V) from BLUETTI Philippines’ page (26.1V). We use BLUETTI’s 26.1V, which an authorised PH dealer also lists.

Never connect a PV350S to the Elite 30 V2

The BLUETTI PV350S is a 350W folding panel for BLUETTI’s larger stations. Three sources give three different electrical sets: BLUETTI Japan lists a Voc of 47V, BLUETTI Australia lists 44V, and the Lazada listing says 46.5V. Whichever is right, it’s a 44–47V panel.

The Elite 30 V2 manual is clear: “Do not use solar panels with open circuit voltage higher than 28V.” A PV350S would put roughly 16–19V more than that onto the input. That’s not a small overshoot; it’s a different class of panel. Connecting it risks damaging the station. Its 350W rating is also well above the 200W input limit.

If you own a PV350S, use it with a station or charge controller whose maximum input voltage comfortably exceeds 47V, not with the Elite 30 V2. We deliberately don’t link to it in this guide.

Using the kit during brownouts and typhoon season

  • Before a typhoon, charge the Elite 30 V2 to full from the wall while you still have power. Solar will be weak for days under heavy cloud.
  • Plan your loads. At 288Wh, prioritise phones, a router, LED lights and a fan. Read our guide to backup power during Philippine brownouts for how to think about priorities.
  • After the storm, set the panel out on the first clear morning. The Sora 60’s USB-A and USB-C outputs can also charge a phone directly from the panel.
  • Store the panel dry. Fold it only when it’s clean and dry to avoid mould in the creases during the rainy season.

The Elite 30 V2 and Sora 60 are a plug-and-play kit that you can set up yourself following the manuals. Anything wired into the house, a breaker panel, the roof or the grid needs a licensed electrician and an LGU electrical permit; for exporting to the grid, see our net metering guide.

What to buy

Optional, if you want more solar input instead of the Sora 60:

Bottom line

For the BLUETTI Elite 30 V2, buy one Sora 60 and make sure it comes with a DC5521-to-XT60 cable. That’s the pairing BLUETTI itself sells, and it stays within the 28V and 10A input limits. If you want more solar, a single PowMr 100W or 150W flexible panel with an MC4-to-XT60 cable also fits. Don’t use the PV200 or Sora 220 (over 10A), and never connect a PV350S (44–47V against a 28V maximum).

Frequently asked questions

Does the BLUETTI Elite 30 V2 come with a solar charging cable?
No. BLUETTI's specs list no solar charging cable in the box. The Sora 60 panel's box includes a DC5521-to-XT60 cable (1.2m) according to BLUETTI, but check the Lazada variant you choose, because one variant mentions a 5521-to-7909 cable, which is for other BLUETTI models.
What is the maximum solar input of the BLUETTI Elite 30 V2?
BLUETTI lists the solar input as XT60, 12–28V, 10A maximum, 200W maximum. The manual warns: "Do not use solar panels with open circuit voltage higher than 28V."
Can I use the BLUETTI PV200 with the Elite 30 V2?
We don't recommend it. Its Voc of 26.1V is inside the 28V limit, but its short-circuit current of 10.3A is above the Elite 30 V2's 10A maximum input current, and its Voc leaves less than our 10% safety margin. A panel within both limits, such as the Sora 60, is the safer choice.
How long does the Sora 60 take to charge the Elite 30 V2?
BLUETTI doesn't publish a solar charge time for this pairing. As a rough example, 60W × 4–5 peak sun hours is 240–300Wh a day before losses, against a 288Wh battery. After real-world losses, expect most of a charge on a clear day, not a guaranteed full one.
Can the Elite 30 V2 run an electric fan during a brownout?
Its AC output is 600W at 220V, 50/60Hz, which is enough for a typical electric fan. Runtime depends on the fan's actual watts. Use our power station runtime calculator with the 288Wh capacity.
