Solar Panels for the EcoFlow DELTA 3 (1500): Filling 1536Wh From One 500W Input

Which solar panels fit the EcoFlow DELTA 3 (1500): verified setups for its single 11-60V, 15A, 500W input, how long 1536Wh takes, and what EcoFlow recommends.

Key takeaways

  • The DELTA 3 (1500) has 1536Wh but only one XT60i solar input: 11-60V, 15A, 500W max (manual: "1 XT60i input port").
  • Because the battery is 50% bigger than the 1024Wh DELTA 3 with the same 500W input, aim for the full 500W: four 125W bifacial panels in parallel.
  • EcoFlow's 220W Lightweight manual recommends two 220W Lightweight panels in series for this model. The 220W panel we link is the NextGen single-face version; two in series also pass our check (440W).
  • Best case, 500W refills 1536Wh in about 3.1 hours; 400W takes about 3.8 hours.
  • The PH listing is labelled "DELTA 3 (1500) EU": check the plug type before you buy.

  8. Bottom line

For the EcoFlow DELTA 3 (1500), the best verified setup is four EcoFlow 125W bifacial panels in parallel, which fill its single 500W input. Simpler options are two EcoFlow 220W single-face panels in series (440W) or one EcoFlow 400W Lightweight (400W). Its one XT60i solar port is rated 11-60V, 15A and 500W.

Bigger battery, same solar input

The DELTA 3 (1500) holds 1536Wh, half again as much as the 1024Wh DELTA 3, but its manual says it has just one XT60i input. Solar tops out at 500W, the same as the smaller model. So every watt of panel counts more here, and it’s worth getting close to 500W.

Compatibility

Panel Setup Volts / amps Usable W Best-case refill Cable
125W bifacial 4 in parallel 50V / 12.8A 500W about 3.1 h XT60W-to-XT60i included
220W single-face 2 in series 43V / 12.4A 440W about 3.5 h MC4-to-XT60i included
400W Lightweight 1, single 39.3V / 12.2A 400W about 3.8 h None, built-in XT60
400W rigid (2-pack) 1 panel only 37.1V / 13.79A 400W about 3.8 h Not included; buy a Solar-to-XT60i cable
160W single-face 2 in series 42.6V / 9.1A 320W about 4.8 h MC4-to-XT60i included

“Best-case refill” is 1536Wh ÷ usable watts, assuming the panels deliver their full rating the whole time. They won’t in real conditions, so treat these as minimums.

Not OK on this port: two 400W Lightweight in series (78.6V), two 400W rigid in series (74.2V) or parallel (27.58A), two 220W in parallel (24.8A), three 220W in series (64.5V), and two 125W in series (100V).

About EcoFlow’s 220W recommendation

EcoFlow’s 220W Lightweight manual recommends two of those panels in series for the DELTA 3 (1500). The 220W panel in our store links is a different model, EcoFlow’s NextGen 220W single-face panel. We checked it on its own figures (21.5V, 12.4A per panel): two in series make 43V and 12.4A, inside the 60V and 15A limits.

Daily energy, as an example

Assume 4 peak sun hours, only as an example. Four 125W panels could then give up to about 2,000Wh a day, enough on paper to refill 1536Wh. One 400W panel gives up to about 1,600Wh, just enough on a clear day. Heat, haze and clouds cut both figures.

Before you buy: the plug

EcoFlow PH’s listing for this model is labelled “DELTA 3 (1500) EU”. Check the AC socket and charging plug type with the seller so it suits your outlets.

Setup steps

  1. Place panels in full sun, clear of shade.
  2. Link the 125W panels in parallel with their XT60W leads, or join two 220W panels in series (MC4 male to female).
  3. Plug into the single XT60i input. Watch the input watts.

Portable panels can be set up by the owner following the manual. Anything wired to your house, breaker panel, roof or the grid needs a licensed electrician (PEE) and an LGU electrical permit.

Bottom line

The DELTA 3 (1500) has a big battery and one 500W solar input, so go for the full 500W with four 125W bifacial panels in parallel. Two 220W panels in series or one 400W Lightweight are simpler but slower.

Frequently asked questions

What is the solar input of the EcoFlow DELTA 3 (1500)?
One XT60i port rated 11-60V, 15A and 500W max. The manual says total panel Voc must stay within 60V and total Isc within 15A.
How long does the DELTA 3 1500 take to charge from solar?
Best case about 3.1 hours with a full 500W of panels (1536Wh ÷ 500W), or about 3.8 hours with one 400W panel. These are ideal-sun estimates; real days take longer.
Does the DELTA 3 1500 have two solar inputs like the DELTA 3 Plus?
No. Its manual says it has one XT60i input port, so total solar is 500W.
