Key takeaways

  • The Midea MSCH-10CRFN8 is a 1HP Chione Series high wall inverter split. Midea Philippines lists 830 W input and 3.61 A at standard cooling conditions.
  • Western Appliances lists CSPF 5.23, 5 stars and 9,875 kJ/h cooling (range 1,319–11,216 kJ/h). We couldn't open the DOE label itself.
  • One retailer also shows '2,050 W / 9.0 A'. That conflicts with Midea's own 830 W and looks like a maximum input.
  • At full rated power, 8 hours a night for 30 days is about 199 kWh, roughly ₱2,390 at an example ₱12/kWh.

The Midea MSCH-10CRFN8 is a 1HP inverter split-type aircon (Chione Series) that Midea Philippines rates at 830 W input under standard cooling conditions. Retailer Western Appliances lists a CSPF of 5.23 and 5 stars. It is sold through the Chione series listing at the Midea Official Store on Shopee.

Where to buy Shopee

Midea’s own spec table gives the input, current, power supply, refrigerant and application area. The cooling capacity, CSPF and stars come from Western Appliances. We couldn’t open the DOE label for this model, so check the yellow label on the indoor unit when it arrives.

830 W or 2,050 W?

Western Appliances’ page lists “Rated Input Power 2,050 W / 9.0 A”. Midea’s own page says 830 W / 3.61 A at standard cooling conditions, and Anson’s agrees. The 2,050 W figure looks like the most the unit can draw, not its rated input. Use 830 W to estimate running costs. If you are sizing a generator, inverter or power station, plan for the higher figure until Midea confirms the maximum.

What it costs to run each month

monthly kWh = watts × hours per day × days ÷ 1,000

For 8 hours a night, 30 nights:

  • At full rated power: 830 × 8 × 30 ÷ 1,000 = 199.2 kWh, about ₱2,390 at an example rate of ₱12 per kWh (use your own bill’s rate).
  • At half the rated input on average (an example assumption; inverters often run below rated power once the room is cool, but it varies): 99.6 kWh, about ₱1,195.

The wide 1,319–11,216 kJ/h capacity range means the compressor can slow right down on mild nights, which is where inverters save. Try your own hours in the aircon electricity cost calculator, with your rate from the electricity rates page.

How it compares with other 1HP split aircons

Model Rated input CSPF Cooling capacity Stars
TCL TAC-11CSD/P7 650 W 7.11 3.06 kW 5
Fujidenzo HIS-103AG 820 W 5.33 (retailer) 9,720 kJ/h 5
Midea MSCH-10CRFN8 830 W 5.23 (retailer) 9,875 kJ/h 5 (retailer)
TCL TAC-10CSD/KEI2 780 W 4.9 10,000 kJ/h 5

The Midea and the Fujidenzo HIS-103AG are close: similar watts, similar capacity, similar CSPF. The Fujidenzo is on Lazada and the Midea is on Shopee, so your preferred platform may decide it. The TCL KEI2 draws fewer rated watts but has a lower CSPF. The TCL P7 is well ahead on both.

For why seasonal efficiency matters more than rated watts, see inverter vs non-inverter aircons.

Who the MSCH-10CRFN8 suits

  • Shopee shoppers who want a Midea official-store split. This model has no Lazada link in our data.
  • Rooms of about 12–18 m² (Midea’s figure, unit unstated).
  • Homes planning several aircons of different sizes, since the Chione series runs from 1HP to 3HP, each with a Midea spec page.

Split-type units need correct piping, vacuuming and outdoor-unit placement, so use a licensed technician or Midea’s authorised installer. Our aircon electricity consumption guide covers ways to lower the bill.

Bottom line

Use 830 W for the Midea MSCH-10CRFN8, the figure from Midea itself, not the 2,050 W a retailer shows. With a retailer-listed CSPF of 5.23, it is a mid-pack 1HP inverter split. Look at the TCL P7 if efficiency matters most.

Frequently asked questions

How many watts does the Midea Chione 1HP use?
Midea Philippines lists an input of 830 W (3.61 A) under standard cooling conditions for the MSCH-10CRFN8. A retailer's 2,050 W figure conflicts with this and appears to be a maximum input.
Is the Midea MSCH-10CRFN8 full DC inverter?
The Shopee series listing says 'Full DC Inverter'. Midea's own product page calls it a 'Chione Series High Wall Inverter' without the words 'Full DC'. Either way, it is an inverter unit.
What room size is the Midea MSCH-10CRFN8 for?
Midea prints an application area of '12-18' with no unit. It is most likely square metres, but confirm with the seller.
What HP sizes are in the Midea Chione series?
The Shopee series listing covers 1.0HP to 3.0HP. The 1.5HP is the MSCH-13CRFN8 (1,250 W per Midea PH).
