Key takeaways

  • The TCL TAC-11CSD/P7 (FreshIN 3.0) is a 1HP AI full DC inverter split aircon: 650 W rated input, CSPF 7.11, 5 stars on its DOE label.
  • CSPF 7.11 is the highest of all the verified 1HP models in our data, split or window.
  • Its label cooling capacity is 3.06 kW, more than the other verified 1HP units we checked (2.5–2.93 kW).
  • At full rated power, 8 hours a night for 30 days is 156 kWh, about ₱1,872 at an example ₱12/kWh. Inverter units often average less.

All figures are from the DOE label shown in TCL’s official Lazada gallery. We could not find TCL’s published room size or voltage range for this model, so ask the seller before you buy.

One more thing to watch: on the Lazada series page we checked, the written product description was for a TCL television, not this aircon. Go by the energy label image in the gallery, not the description text.

Why the “11” matters

The other verified 1HP units in our data cool 2.5 to 2.93 kW. The P7’s 3.06 kW is more, which gives you a little headroom in a warm bedroom, and it gets there from fewer rated watts than any of them.

What it costs to run each month

monthly kWh = watts × hours per day × days ÷ 1,000

For 8 hours a night, 30 nights:

  • At full rated power: 650 × 8 × 30 ÷ 1,000 = 156 kWh, about ₱1,872 at an example rate of ₱12 per kWh (use your own bill’s rate).
  • At half the rated input on average (an example assumption that matches the label’s 0.5 inverter factor; real use varies with room and weather): 78 kWh, about ₱936.

Each hour at full rated power is about ₱7.80 at the example rate. Use the aircon electricity cost calculator with your own hours, and check your electric company on the electricity rates page.

How it compares with other 1HP split aircons

Model Rated input CSPF Cooling capacity Stars
TCL TAC-11CSD/P7 650 W 7.11 3.06 kW 5
TCL TAC-09CSD/FBI 660 W 6.28 2.93 kW not confirmed
Midea MSCH-10CRFN8 830 W 5.23 about 2.74 kW (9,875 kJ/h) 5 (retailer)
TCL TAC-10CSD/KEI2 780 W 4.9 2.78 kW 5

The P7 leads on both counts: the lowest rated watts and the highest CSPF. Its closest rival is TCL’s own FreshIN 2.0 FBI, which uses almost the same rated watts but scores lower on CSPF. The Midea MSCH-10CRFN8 and TCL KEI2 both draw more at their rated points and have lower CSPFs.

If the P7 costs more than the alternatives, whether the extra pays back depends on your hours. Our guide to inverter vs non-inverter aircons shows how to work out payback.

Who the TAC-11CSD/P7 suits

  • Bedrooms used all night, every night, where a high CSPF saves the most over the years.
  • Anyone ranking 1HP aircons purely on efficiency: in our verified data, nothing in this class beats it.
  • Homes planning to run an aircon on solar or backup power, where a low rated input helps. See our solar aircon guides for the maths.

A split-type needs proper installation: piping, a vacuumed line set and a correctly placed outdoor unit. Use a licensed technician or TCL’s authorised installer.

Frequently asked questions

How many watts does the TCL P7 1HP split use?
The DOE energy label for the TAC-11CSD/P7 shows a power input of 650 W, with a cooling capacity of 3.06 kW.
What does CSPF 7.11 mean?
CSPF (Cooling Seasonal Performance Factor) is the cooling delivered over a standard season divided by the electricity used. At 7.11, the P7 delivers about 7 units of cooling for every unit of electricity under the test conditions. Higher is better.
Is the P7 the same as the TCL FreshIN 2.0 FBI?
No. The FBI (TAC-09CSD/FBI) is the FreshIN 2.0 series. The P7 is sold as FreshIN 3.0. The 1HP P7 has a higher CSPF (7.11 vs 6.28) and slightly fewer rated watts (650 W vs 660 W).
Which HP sizes does the TCL P7 come in?
TCL's P7 FreshIN 3.0 series listing offers 1HP, 1.5HP and 2HP. The 1HP is the TAC-11CSD/P7 and the 1.5HP is the TAC-14CSD/P7.
