Key takeaways

  • The TCL TAC-10CSD/KEI2 is a 1HP AI full DC inverter split aircon: 780 W rated input, CSPF 4.9, 5 stars on its DOE label.
  • Cooling capacity is 2.78 kW (10,000 kJ/h); SM Appliance lists a 9–16 m² cooling area.
  • At full rated power, 8 hours a night for 30 days is about 187 kWh, roughly ₱2,246 at an example ₱12/kWh. Inverter units often average less.
  • Its CSPF is the lowest of the verified 1HP inverter splits we checked. TCL's own P7 (7.11) and FBI (6.28), and the Midea MSCH-10CRFN8 (5.23), all rate higher.

  6. Bottom line

The TCL TAC-10CSD/KEI2 is a 1HP inverter split-type aircon rated at 780 W on its DOE energy label, with a CSPF of 4.9 and 5 stars. It is a straightforward 5-star split, but other 1HP splits we checked score higher on CSPF. It is sold as the KEI2 BreezeIn series at the TCL Official Store on Shopee and the TCL store on Lazada.

Figures are from the DOE label and product page at SM Appliance. SM’s text calls the 4.9 an “EER”. On the label it is the Energy Efficiency Rating, which is the CSPF.

What it costs to run each month

monthly kWh = watts × hours per day × days ÷ 1,000

For a bedroom used 8 hours a night, 30 nights:

  • At full rated power: 780 × 8 × 30 ÷ 1,000 = 187.2 kWh, about ₱2,246 at an example rate of ₱12 per kWh (use your own bill’s rate).
  • At half the rated input on average (an example assumption, the same 0.5 factor the label applies to inverters; your real figure varies): 93.6 kWh, about ₱1,123.

The label’s own 105.3 kWh assumes 9 hours a day at that 0.5 factor. Enter your real hours and rate in the aircon electricity cost calculator, and find your electric company’s rate on the electricity rates page.

How it compares with other 1HP split aircons

Model Rated input CSPF Cooling capacity Stars
TCL TAC-11CSD/P7 650 W 7.11 3.06 kW 5
TCL TAC-09CSD/FBI 660 W 6.28 2.93 kW not confirmed
Midea MSCH-10CRFN8 830 W 5.23 (retailer) about 2.74 kW (9,875 kJ/h) 5 (retailer)
TCL TAC-10CSD/KEI2 780 W 4.9 2.78 kW 5

Within TCL’s own split range, the KEI2 sits below the P7 and the FBI. Both of those draw fewer rated watts and deliver more cooling. The Midea MSCH-10CRFN8 draws more at its rated point (830 W) but has a higher CSPF (5.23), so over a season it should use a little less electricity for the same cooling.

What does a lower CSPF cost you in pesos? As a rough guide, the electricity used for the same cooling scales with 1 ÷ CSPF. Over a season, the P7 would use roughly 4.9 ÷ 7.11 ≈ 69% of what the KEI2 uses for the same cooling under test conditions. Real savings depend on your hours, room and settings. The inverter vs non-inverter guide explains how to weigh that against the purchase price.

Who the TAC-10CSD/KEI2 suits

  • Budget-conscious buyers who still want a 5-star inverter split. If it costs clearly less than the P7 or FBI, it can make sense for moderate daily use.
  • Rooms of about 9–16 m² (retailer figure), such as a standard bedroom.
  • Families who may buy more units later, since the KEI2 series also comes in 1.5HP and 2HP sizes with verified labels.

Split-type units need proper installation. Use a licensed technician or TCL’s authorised installer. For tips that cut aircon running costs, read our aircon electricity consumption guide.

Bottom line

The TCL TAC-10CSD/KEI2 is a 5-star 1HP inverter split at 780 W and CSPF 4.9. It is a fair choice if the price is right. If you run your aircon long hours every night, the P7 or FBI will likely cost less to run.

Frequently asked questions

How many watts is the TCL KEI2 1HP split?
The DOE energy label shows a power input of 780 W for 2.78 kW of cooling. SM Appliance lists the same 780 W.
Is CSPF 4.9 good?
It earned 5 stars on its label, so it is in the top band for that label. But other 1HP inverter splits we checked score higher, up to CSPF 7.11 for the TCL P7. A higher CSPF means less electricity for the same cooling over a season.
What sizes does the TCL KEI2 come in?
The KEI2 series listings offer 1.0, 1.5, 2.0 and 2.5HP. We verified the 1HP (TAC-10CSD/KEI2), 1.5HP (TAC-13CSD/KEI2) and 2HP (TAC-19CSD/KEI2) labels; the 2.5HP figures could not be confirmed.
