Which EcoFlow Power Stations Work With the EcoFlow 45W Solar Panel?
The EcoFlow 45W Type-C solar panel works, one panel at a time, with every RIVER 2, RIVER 3 and DELTA 3 model we checked. See the cable, limits and charge times.
Checked against the sources listed below. How we research.
Key takeaways
- The EcoFlow 45W Portable Solar Panel (Type-C) passes our voltage and current check on every RIVER 2, RIVER 3 and DELTA 3 model we checked, plus the DELTA Pro and the DELTA Pro 3's Low-PV port.
- Use it as a single panel. Its manual describes no series or parallel wiring.
- It connects through the DC5521-to-XT60i cable (1.5 m) that comes in the box. No extra adapter is needed.
- Do not use the DELTA Pro 3's High-PV port: the panel's 22V operating voltage is below that port's 30V minimum.
- It suits small stations like the RIVER 3. EcoFlow PH says it can fully charge a RIVER 3 in 6.3 hours of peak sun.

The EcoFlow 45W Portable Solar Panel (Type-C) works as a single panel with every RIVER 2, RIVER 3 and DELTA 3 model we checked, plus the DELTA Pro and the DELTA Pro 3’s Low-PV port. It plugs in with the DC5521-to-XT60i cable that comes in the box. It is best matched to small stations like the RIVER 3, which EcoFlow PH says it can fully charge in 6.3 hours of peak sun.
The panel in numbers
These figures are from EcoFlow’s Type-C manual and the PH store. The Type-C version is the only 45W option the PH store sells:
- Rated 45W, open-circuit voltage (Voc) 25.6V, short-circuit current (Isc) 2.06A
- Operating voltage 22V at 1.98A
- 1.4 kg
- Outputs: DC5521 (to a power station) and USB-C (15W max, for phones)
- In the box: DC5521-to-XT60i cable (1.5 m) and 4 snap hooks
Because the voltage and current are low, the 45W panel stays well inside almost every EcoFlow solar input. The catch is the low wattage.
Compatibility table
Each row passed our check: Voc stays at or below 95% of the port’s maximum voltage, Isc stays at or below the port’s current limit, and operating voltage stays above the port’s minimum.
| Power station | Port limits | Panels / wiring | Usable solar | Cable |
|---|---|---|---|---|
| RIVER 2, RIVER 3, RIVER 3 UPS | 11–30V, 8A, 110W | 1, single | 45W | Included DC5521-to-XT60i |
| RIVER 2 Max, RIVER 2 Pro | 11–50V, 13A, 220W | 1, single | 45W | Included |
| RIVER 3 Plus, RIVER 3 Max, RIVER 3 Max Plus | 11–55V, 13A, 220W | 1, single | 45W | Included |
| DELTA 3, DELTA 3 Classic, DELTA 3 1500 | 11–60V, 15A, 500W | 1, single | 45W | Included |
| DELTA 3 1000 Air, 1000 Air UPS, 2000 Air | 12–60V, 15A, 500W per port | 1, single | 45W | Included |
| DELTA 3 Plus, DELTA 3 Max, DELTA 3 Max Plus, DELTA 3 Ultra Plus | 11–60V | 1, single | 45W | Included |
| DELTA Pro | 11–150V, 15A, 1,600W | 1, single | 45W | Included |
| DELTA Pro 3, Low-PV port | 11–60V, 20A, 1,000W | 1, single | 45W | Included |
Not compatible: the DELTA Pro 3 High-PV port. It needs at least 30V, and this panel runs at 22V, so use the Low-PV port. We have not checked the DELTA Pro Ultra, because no official source confirms a cable that joins a DC5521 panel to its ports.
How long will it take to charge?
As a rough estimate, divide the battery size by the panel’s watts. This assumes full 45W output the whole time, which real sun rarely gives you:
- RIVER 3 (245Wh): 245 ÷ 45 ≈ 5.4 hours of full output. EcoFlow PH’s own figure is 6.3 hours of peak sun, which is more realistic.
- RIVER 2 (256Wh): about 5.7 hours of full output.
- DELTA 3 (1,024Wh): about 23 hours of full output, which is more than two sunny days.
So for a RIVER, one 45W panel can get you through a long brownout if you use the power for light loads like phones, a router or an LED lamp. For a DELTA, it is a top-up at most. Our EcoFlow runtime calculator shows how long your own appliances will run.
Setup steps
- Unfold the panel in full sun, facing the sky. Shade on any part of it cuts output.
- Plug the DC5521 end of the included cable into the panel, and the XT60i end into the station’s solar input.
- Check the station’s screen or app for incoming watts.
- Bring the panel in before heavy rain or typhoon winds.
This is a plug-and-play setup that you can do yourself by following the manual. Anything wired into your house, breaker panel or roof needs a licensed electrician and an LGU electrical permit.

Bottom line
The EcoFlow 45W is the safe, light choice for a RIVER 2 or RIVER 3. It is compatible with almost every EcoFlow station, as long as you avoid the DELTA Pro 3’s High-PV port. It is a single-panel product, so if you need faster charging, step up to a bigger panel instead of trying to link two 45W panels.
