1HP Window Type Aircons That Use the Least Electricity, Ranked by CSPF
Which 1HP window type aircon uses the least electricity? Verified models from Kolin, TCL, iFFALCON, Fujidenzo and Samsung ranked by CSPF and rated watts.
Checked against the sources listed below. How we research.
Key takeaways
- The Kolin KA-100GQAIINV32 Quad AI full DC inverter leads verified 1HP window units: CSPF 5.60, 740 W rated input, 2.86 kW capacity.
- Next are the TCL TAC-09CWI/UB2 (CSPF 5.12, 850 W), iFFALCON IFAC-09CWI/UL (4.96, 880 W) and TCL TAC-09CWI/UJE2 (4.88, 733 W).
- The Fujidenzo WAR-100IGT is sold as "inverter grade" but its retailer-listed CSPF of 3.34 and 2 stars match a fixed-speed unit.
- Use the label figures: the Kolin label shows 4 stars (not the 5 some listings claim) and the TCL UB2 label shows 850 W (not the 1,450 W in one listing).
- Samsung's AW40F09D0ATNTC is rated 820 W with EER 3.1 W/W but no published CSPF, so it is listed separately.

The 1HP window type aircon that uses the least electricity for its cooling, among verified models, is the Kolin KA-100GQAIINV32 (Quad AI full DC inverter): CSPF 5.60, 740 W rated input and 2.86 kW of rated cooling. The TCL TAC-09CWI/UB2 (CSPF 5.12, 850 W) is second, and the TCL TAC-09CWI/UJE2 has the lowest rated watts of the TCL units (733 W).
How we ranked them
By CSPF first, then rated watts. CSPF is the label’s “Energy Efficiency Rating”: cooling per kWh across a standard season, which includes the part-load running where inverters save the most. Rated watts is the power input at one full-load test point. Only models with both figures from a DOE label or the manufacturer are ranked.
1HP window aircons ranked
| Rank | Model | Compressor | Rated input | CSPF | Stars | Rated capacity | Suggested area |
|---|---|---|---|---|---|---|---|
| 1 | Kolin KA-100GQAIINV32 | Full DC inverter | 740 W | 5.60 | 4 (newer label) | 2.86 kW | 14–18 sqm |
| 2 | TCL TAC-09CWI/UB2 | AI full DC inverter | 850 W | 5.12 | 5 (older label) | 2.60 kW | 15–23 sqm |
| 3 | iFFALCON IFAC-09CWI/UL | Inverter (“Eco Inverter” per listing) | 880 W | 4.96 | 5 (older label) | 2.58 kW | Not published |
| 4 | TCL TAC-09CWI/UJE2 | AI full DC inverter | 733 W | 4.88 | 5 (older label) | 2.60 kW | 9–16 sqm |
| 5 | Fujidenzo WAR-100IGT | “Inverter grade” (fixed-speed) | 800 W | 3.34* | 2* | 9,072 kJ/h* (about 2.5 kW) | 14–18 sqm* |
*Retailer figures (Western Appliances); Fujidenzo itself publishes the 800 W.
Listed separately (no CSPF published): the Samsung AW40F09D0ATNTC compact inverter window unit is rated 820 W for 2.5 kW of cooling, with 5 stars per Samsung. Samsung gives its efficiency as EER 3.1 W/W rather than CSPF, so it can’t be ranked on the same scale.
What stands out
Kolin: most cooling and fewest watts of the top three. The Kolin pairs the highest CSPF with the largest capacity (2.86 kW) and only 740 W. Its published power range of 148 to 888 W shows how far an inverter can throttle down once a room is cool. One Lazada listing claims 5 stars and a “rated power” of 1,200 W; the DOE label shows 4 stars and 740 W, and we use the label.
TCL UB2 vs UJE2: same capacity, different trade-off. Both are rated 2.60 kW. The UJE2 draws less at full load (733 W vs 850 W), while the UB2 has the higher seasonal CSPF (5.12 vs 4.88). On the DOE’s seasonal test basis, the UB2 should use less electricity over a cooling season. At the full-load test point, the UJE2 draws less. For long nightly use, CSPF is the better guide.
The label’s monthly kWh can mislead here. The UJE2 label shows 98.96 kWh against 114.75 kWh for the UB2, because the label’s monthly figure is worked from rated watts, not from CSPF. Those two labels were issued in the same year, so the comparison is fair as far as it goes, but it reflects full-load watts only.
Fujidenzo WAR-100IGT is not an inverter. “Inverter grade” is a marketing term. Its 2-star, 3.34 CSPF retailer rating is in line with fixed-speed units. Read what “inverter grade” really means.
Example monthly cost
Example only: 8 hours a night, 30 days, at an example rate of ₱12 per kWh. Use your own bill’s rate, from our electricity rates page.
| Model | Full power | With example factor* |
|---|---|---|
| Kolin KA-100GQAIINV32 (740 W) | 177.6 kWh, about ₱2,131 | 88.8 kWh, about ₱1,066 |
| TCL TAC-09CWI/UJE2 (733 W) | 175.9 kWh, about ₱2,111 | 88.0 kWh, about ₱1,056 |
| TCL TAC-09CWI/UB2 (850 W) | 204 kWh, about ₱2,448 | 102 kWh, about ₱1,224 |
| Fujidenzo WAR-100IGT (800 W) | 192 kWh, about ₱2,304 | 153.6 kWh, about ₱1,843 |
*Example assumption borrowed from the DOE’s older label method: 0.5 for inverter units, 0.8 for fixed-speed. Real use depends on your room, sun and thermostat setting. Try the aircon electricity cost calculator.
Not ranked (data not confirmed)
- Fujidenzo IWAR-107T: Fujidenzo lists CSPF 4.70 and 5 stars, but no rated watts.
- Everest ETIV10CFWEDA, Koppel KV09WR-ARF31B, Panasonic CW-U1021VPH: listing or retailer figures only.
- Midea Qube 1HP (MWWA-09CRFN8): the 1,007 W “rated input” looks like a maximum, not a running figure.
- Xtreme XACWT10X “inverter grade”: the listing’s 1,200 W and EER 10.80 don’t add up, and it uses a manual thermostat.
- Astron 1HP “inverter class”, Hisense, Haier, Carrier 1HP window units: no specs we could confirm.

Bottom line
For a 1HP window aircon, the Kolin KA-100GQAIINV32 is the most efficient verified choice and also has the most capacity. The TCL TAC-09CWI/UB2 is a close second on CSPF. Avoid paying inverter prices for “inverter grade” fixed-speed units. If you can install a split, see the 1HP split ranking, where the top CSPFs are higher still.
